Essie is giving away samples of their Apricot cuticle oil on their Facebook Page, only while supplies last, so get your free sample today! I actually just bought this for myself a month ago, during one of my nail polish hauls with Phoebe, but I must say that it was one of my favorite purchases that day. First off, it just smells amazing. I had previously been using Sally Hansen’s cuticle oil, but Essie’s really blew that one out of the water. Second, my cuticles really did feel softer and my manicure did look better. Note: be sure that there’s no leftover cuticle oil on your nail bed before you apply your first coat so dip a cotton ball/swab into your nail polish remover and just swipe your nail bed before you start painting!
Cuticle oil is a must during these colder months, and especially during flu seasons, because you’re constantly washing your hands and drying them out. So lotion up ladies and lather your cuticles because nothing mars that fresh manicure you had painstakingly spent so much time more than unflattering cuticles. You know, those times where you felt brave and decided to give yourself a bright red manicure or it could be… I don’t know …your first time trying to paint a mini heart that looks deceivingly easy (cough the girls over at The Beauty Department) but you had to re-do it an embarrassing number of times. So just like in any other aspect of life, preparation is always just as – if not more – important than the process itself!
