What do Kate Spade and Lilly Pulitzer have in common? Both employ vibrant colors and loud prints that make you look and feel young. Theirs is the garb of spring. “Her clothes were transporting,” Adam Glassman, Creative Director for The Oprah Magazine has said of Pulitzer’s iconic and definitive style. “You automatically think of Palm Beach, or sunny California in a Slim Aarons photograph.” Name brands are following suit this season, with Banana Republic’s printed Hampton pants and Bohemian patterns from Tory Burch’s Resort line to name a few. After a hectic work week and drab weekend weather, I looked to these iconic names for a little style inspiration. The result? A pop of color!
I’d love to hear your thoughts! What is your garb of spring? Are you due for some bold patterns and pops of color?
